A planning meeting is scheduled for July 15th at 7pm, use the contact link for more info if you’d like to help out. The event date is the last Saturday of September.

The Trap group will open the trap range at 11 am on April 2nd for a public trap shoot. $3 per round of 25 shots. They will be selling their famous fish sandwiches/diners too. Come early!

On February 6th the County League and Gander Mtn will be hosting an Outdoors Show at Twin Lakes park for youths and their family. Many exhibites, fishing rod building, DCNR tree identification, kayak/canoeing, Turkey Federation, Trappers of Pa, etc. 2PM there will be prize raffle for youth and mentored hunters, grand prize is a 50cal muzzle loader.

Bring your wild game to grill or bring side dish, dessert etc. Saturday starting around 7PM. Past months we had Squirrel Stew, Barbeque Beaver, Moose Steak, Venison burgers, Venison Hot Sausage as main dishes. What’s in your freezer?

Sundays 10:30am to 2:00pm, $5/round of 25,

• September 21 (7th is cancelled)

Rules:

• must shoot 10 rounds to be elegible for prize money
• Center-fire straight wall cases
• open sights or scope, no laser sites
• pins must leave the table to score.

On Good Friday April 10th, Trap will have their annual Fish Fry and Trap Shoot beginning around 11am ending whenever its done. All members are invited.

The Turtle Creek Watershed Association will be holding their annual meeting on Tuesday, March ??th at The Castle – 325 Commerce Street in Wilmerding. Dinner starts at 6:00. There is no charge, but please e-mail to good.fish@verizon.net or call 412/829-2817.

We hope to join you for the Fishing Derby at B-Y Pond once again this year.

Trafford Sportsmen’s Club will host this event put on by the Penn’s Woods Spurs Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation on May 17th. This event is for women wanting to learn new outdoor skills and meeting people with similar interests. Contact us for more information and registration or if you would like to help out at the event.
